Last Work Day at Spring Hill
It is almost 9 PM. We are spending our last night at Spring Hill sitting out at a campfire next to our RV. The weather was quite cool this morning then after some light mist around 10 AM it warmed up and was a beautiful day. The temperature now is 68 and long pants and a long sleeve shirt would not feel bad. The sun has gone down but it is still light enough to see the keyboard.
My last work day was probably my busiest. Phil and I worked together all day, we started at 8 AM and finished a little after 5, with a half hour for lunch. We:
1. replacing a warped board in the sidewalk at Frontier Village.
2. replaced a couple of damaged stair treads at the New Frontiers skate park.
3. removed a faulty hand dryer from the girls restroom at the Copper Country dining hall. We installed the new one we were given and were a little unsure of how the wires were to be hooked up. Instead of black, white and green wires we had two shades of orange and a green wire that was only attached to the inside of the box. When we started checked we discovered that the dryer we removed was a 220 volt unit and the one we were given to install was only 110 volt. Fortunately we had not tried to turn it on so I don’t think we damaged the new one. We removed the new one and waited for Duane to come with a box cover so we could at least turn the breaker back on so that the other hand dryer worked.
4. Primed a couple of steel frames that someone had built.
5. Removed the deteriorated door from a ceiling access hatch, cut a new one to fit, primed it and installed it.
6. Worked with Duane on how we might construct a frame to support a roof to keep the rain/ice off the gas valve for the New Frontiers dining room. Duane scrounged up some scrap metal, we cut things to fit and he welded up the frame. Phil will paint it in the morning.
The day was busy but it was a "good" busy, an all around enjoyable day.
Tomorrow we head out. Leaving this great place will be a little sad.
Kids are doing something fun because we have heard them hollering and laughing for over an hour, but that happens almost every evening.
Kathy input survey data again today, but did it from the RV. Computers were slow again so she cleaned the RV while waiting on the computer send/receive data.

Time to go. It is now to dark to see the keyboard, and it is past my bedtime.
Goodnight to all and may God bless you and yours.
