No Flowers on the Pond This Morning
I left the RV at 7 this morning. I headed over to finish roller painting the Norway men's side ceiling of the bath house. First thing I noticed was that it was foggy, visibility was maybe a half mile. When I walked by the pond I noticed that all the flowers were gone. They had been so pretty that I was disappointed that I did not get to see them again (this shows how dumb I am about pond flowers). When I walked back through the area later they were out again in all their glory. If I get out early enough again I'm going to have to check out this phenomonon more closely.
It was HUMID today. We got a couple of showers but no significant rainfall. Temperatures ranged from mid 60's to mid 80's again. I think it is supposed to get down to a very humid 63 tonight.
I managed to finish all the painting with a roller before church. It took me about 2.5 hours. Later in the afternoon I went back over and painted around the walls, lights, etc. That took me another 3.5 hours. I wanted to finish today because Sunday is when new campers arrive and it is a slow day for restroom/shower activity until late in the evening. I FINISHED THE NORWAY BATH HOUSE CEILING TODAY!!!! A good cheer is in order.
Kathy worked several hours registering new campers.
During Family Camp there was a couple, and two young boys, in a tent camper on the door side of the RV. We introduced ourselves the first day, Friday, they were here. They are from the Flint, MI area. This was their 2nd year at Family Camp. Saturday the boys just had to see the inside of the RV. Kathy wasn't here so I gave them and Pam the tour. The most amazing thing for Pam was that Kathy had her sewing machine set up. Today Pam brought the boys over to say goodbye. I made the mistake of showing them how to blow the air horn. They went NUTS!. I thought Pam was going to have to hog tie them to keep them from blowing the horn. I turned the air horn off, so that it only honked like a normal horn, and they still kept blowing it. Other than her discomfort, it was pretty funny. The other campers in the area probably didn't appreciate it. Later I apologized to the neighbors on the other side of us.
I'm not sure what I will be doing tomorrow. I will check in at the Site Office in the morning and get my marching orders. I think Kathy is working in the New Frontiers kitchen tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be our last day of work until next Saturday. We are taking the RV to Cadillac Tuesday to have the front end aligned and then bringing it back to Spring Hill and parking it. As soon as we get it parked we are leaving for a trip up to the UP. It is almost laughable for retired full time RV'ers, but we don't want to take more days off so we are going to do a whirlwind tour with the CRV and stay in motels for 3 nights. Kathy wanted to be back to work on Friday but I think I've talked her into staying away another day.
Guess that is all the news from here. Good night to all.
