FINISHED PAINTING!!!! At Least for Awhile

2.5 hours of painting this morning and I finished the Norway bath house ceilings. I spent a couple of hours this afternoon walking (and walking and walking, this is a BIG place) around looking for window screens that needed repairs. Tomorrow I will start replacing the bad screens. I will probably go back to painting after that because they really do need someone to finish paint the Norway bath house ceiling and prime and finish paint the Meadowlands bath house ceiling. (Those are the two bath houses where I washed the ceilings.) Kathy did more accounting today. I think she is close to working herself out of a job. I am sure that the folks here can't believe how much she can do.

Phil Woods, Phil and his wife have volunteered at Spring Hill, for the entire summer, for the past several years, offered us their golf car tonight. We took advantage of the offer and drove around most of the camp. It is nothing short of incredible. I wished I had a movie camera so that you could see all the different types of areas for camper/guest housing, as well as all the entertainment choices. I was treated to a moving sight my first morning here, and I've seen it on subsequent mornings. When I walked over for breakfast there were kids all over the place reading their Bibles. (Phil and his wife have been full time RV'ers for quite awhile. I have to pick his brain some more on winter locations.)

I have been reading the book of Luke in the mornings. In Chapter 9 Jesus sent out the 12 apostles. He told them to take nothing with them but them but the clothes on their backs. When they went into a city if they were not welcomed they were to "depart from that city, shake the dust from your feet for a testimony against them." In Chapter 10 Jesus sends out 70 others as an "advance team" for His arrival. Again He told them to take nothing with them. He also told them that if they were not accepted in a city they were to go out in the streets and say, "Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you". This makes me wonder if we Christians spend to much time tying to "convince" people to become Christians. Maybe we should be exspending more of our efforts/resources on people who show themselves to be hungry to hear the Word. Perhaps if we did a better job of taking care of other Christians, and seekers, we would have more people coming to us. Just a thought.

The offer on our house was low. We will give them a counter proposal tomorrow and then they will have a couple of days to respond, if they are still interested.

Temp was down near 50 last night. I think the high today was low-mid 70's. It was another beautiful day. Some clouds but a lot of blue sky.
