Finally Some Rain
Severe thunderstorms were forecast for this morning but all we got was a little rain. We got enough to settle the dust, which was good, but I think more would have been better. It was supposed to be in the high 80's todya but only got to 82. That was enough, with the humidity, to make me sweat up a storm. It is supposed to get down to 62 tonight with a high of 80 and low of 54 for tomorrow. The 54 will feel good.
I almost finished priming the ceiling in the mens side of the "Norway" bath house today. I still have one shower stall and changing area to go. Kathy worked on data entry. I worked 7 hours and I think she worked 5. Tomorrow I finish the last shower stall and move to the womens side. Working on the womens side is a real pain. On the mens side the guys just keep using the facility while I'm painting. On the womens side I will have to periodically stop and let them use the toilets and showers. It will probably take me 3 days to finish priming it. The places aren't that huge but there are just no open areas, Maybe two 5'x5' clear areas on each side. It feels like there is a mile of trimming; plus taking down and reinstalling registers, exhaust fan grills, light fixtures, etc. OK, enough whining <grin>.
There is absolutely no pressure, except what I put on myself. Today was typical. I checked in at the Site Office around 8:30 and made sure where I was supposed to paint. All my supplies were already at the bath house. I went up and worked until I decided to go for lunch, took and hour and a half lunch break and went back and painted until 5:30.
At lunch I saw Will and Teri, from the site office. They asked me if I needed anything. I told them another roll of masking tape. Mid-afternoon Will brought the masking tape and again asked if he could get anything for me. About 4:30 Teri showed up to see if I needed anything. I said no to both. Teri said that they were going to get me a fan to use tomorrow. One would be nice but I never even gave having one a thought.
A big Praise the Lord is that with all the overhead painting my shoulders aren't bother me at all.
