Arrived At Spring Hill
We arrived at Spring Hill around 3 PM and things have been non-stop since then. Actually I did have time to take a shower between the time we got set up and supper.
Upon arrival we met Nate, one of the full time staff. He told us to follow his golf cart to our campsite. When we turned to go back into the area where we are camped I thought, "Does he really want me to go there?". We are in the woods. I think we will have to back out of our spot when we leave because there is no way we can make the turn if we drive through. That will be fun since we had at least 12" of clearance when driving in. <grin>
We went to the staff dining hall for supper, taco's. We were supposed to meet a person there and she was to give us a tour of the place after supper. We weren't told specifically that she would eat with us so I dove in and got myself a couple of tacos. They were edible. She came in before I was halfway through and basically said throw those away, or take them with you, and we will go to Burger Island for hamburgers. Burger Island is a pennisula where a guy cooks hamburgers for the staff and campers. The staff can come any time but campers can only come one night during their stay. Staff gets to eat first.
After that we took a tour in a golf cart. This is a BIG place. More on that latter in the week.
After getting dropped off back at the RV we had about a half hour before Tuesday night ice cream and dessert for volunteers. We met some people who I think are going to be interesting to get to know better during the upcoming weeks.
Kathy starts in the kitchen at 7AM. I meet a guy at breakfast, at around 7:30 AM and after breakfast he will take me to the Volunteer Coordinator to find out what I am to do tomorrow.
Below is our campsite.

It is 8:35 PM and even though it is still completely light out, well maybe a little dark, I'm thinking seriously of hitting the hay.
